FAQs

Can I be too overweight or out of shape to begin working out?

You are never too out of shape to start. I’ll design a plan customized for YOU so it will take into account your body limitations and goals.

What if I fail?

You bring the desire and motivation to get healthier and I’ll do the rest! I’ll help you set achievable goals using your customized program. I’ll be there every step of the way to help you achieve your goals.

Why is the fitness assessment necessary?

This will help me establish your personal baseline so I can create your individualized exercise program. This program will evolve as you progress.

When will I see results?

As with other things, the more you put in the more you will get out. I will work with you to establish short and long term goals and set updated goals along the way. If you follow your plan you will see positive results – including increased flexibility, strength and endurance.

How many times do I have to workout per week?

Every client is different. Some workout 2-4 times per week. I offer options for meeting (your home, my studio or virtual) – to make working out whenever and wherever easier.

What are my options for training days/times?

I am available Mon – Friday 6am-4pm and Saturday 6am-Noon

How do I schedule my personal training sessions?

I recommend that you work with me to set a recurring schedule of consistent days and times for your training. This way you don’t have to schedule each individual session – consistency will help you develop the habit. If you have an erratic schedule, a conflict with a scheduled session, or if you wish to change your recurring schedule, just contact me with as much notice as possible to discuss rescheduling.

What do I need to bring to my session?

A great attitude! I’ll provide the motivation. Just show up ready to take one more step toward achieving your goals.

If I have an injury, am taking medication or am pregnant, can I still work out?

If you have a short term circumstance and are seeing a doctor, you’ll want to confirm with them that it’s safe to begin a personal training program. More than likely a medical release form will be sent for their approval and recommendations. Once your doctor gives the thumbs up, your program can be designed to accommodate your needs. I can help you reduce pain, increase mobility, improve your overall health, and will keep you safe while doing it!

What is Virtual Training?

Virtual Training allows you to get your workout in live with me wherever you are. I will walk you through your customized workout via a web meeting, such as Zoom®, to provide you with real-time motivation and feedback to make sure you are working out safely while maximizing your results.

Can I share my personal training sessions?

If you wish to work out with a friend, I have pricing established for that. View Plans for additional options.

How will I feel after my first personal training session?

You may feel some soreness after your initial session, or at other points throughout your fitness journey as new movements are introduced into your program. Buildup of lactic acid which causes the soreness is completely normal, and you should still be able to continue with your daily activities. If you feel anything more than discomfort or tenderness for more than 1-2 days after your session, or if you are experiencing pain which may feel more debilitating, that could be an indicator that something is wrong. If you have any concerns, let me know before your next session.

Do I need to buy equipment? I only have a few things I can use.

Not necessarily. I have exercise programs that don’t require any equipment and other programs that utilize things such as bands, balls, etc. that I can make available. Part of my assessment will take this into account.

How long are the sessions?

Sessions are either 30 minutes, 45 minutes or an hour based on the plan selected.
